Terms of Service

By accessing or using StrandQuote ("Service," "we," "us," or "our") at strandquote.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms and revising the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

StrandQuote is a web-based lighting design and mockup tool built for Christmas and permanent lighting installers. The Service allows users to upload property photos, design lighting layouts, and export professional quote images and PDFs for use with customers.

Features vary by subscription tier. Pro features (including unlimited cloud saves, watermark-free exports, and company branding) require an active paid subscription or a valid free trial.

You must create an account to access most features of the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms.

Free Trial. New accounts are eligible for a single 7-day free trial that provides full access to Pro features. No credit card is required to start a trial. Each user is eligible for one free trial per account. The trial cannot be restarted or extended.

Paid Subscriptions. After the trial period, continued access to Pro features requires a paid subscription. We offer monthly ($49/month) and yearly ($349/year) plans, billed in advance. Prices are in USD and subject to change with 30 days' notice.

Payment Processing. All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. You are responsible for ensuring your payment information remains valid.

Taxes. Prices shown may not include applicable sales tax. We will collect and remit sales tax where required by law.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the in-app subscription management portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access to Pro features until then. No partial-month refunds are issued for mid-cycle cancellations.

Refund Policy. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans (monthly and yearly). If you are not satisfied with StrandQuote for any reason, contact us at support@strandquote.com within 30 days of your first charge and we will issue a full refund of that charge, no questions asked. Refund requests made after 30 days of the original charge are not eligible.

Free Trial. No charge is incurred during the free trial. If you do not subscribe before the trial ends, your account is automatically downgraded to free-tier access and no charge is made.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service to infringe the intellectual property rights of others
• Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or harmful
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service
• Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or other malicious code
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent the one-trial-per-user policy
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written consent
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service

You retain ownership of all photos, designs, and other content you create or upload using the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display Your Content solely as necessary to provide the Service to you.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the rights to upload and use Your Content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

We do not claim ownership of Your Content, will not sell it, and will not use it for any purpose beyond operating the Service.

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by StrandQuote and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or proprietary technology.

Exports generated by the Service (PNG images, PDFs) that you produce from Your Content are your property and may be used for your business purposes without restriction.

Our collection and use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information provided by the Service.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STRANDQUOTE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise) even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StrandQuote and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Account deletion requests can be sent to support@strandquote.com. We will delete your account and associated data within 30 days of a confirmed deletion request, except where retention is required by law.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and StrandQuote regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
